(b) Organic synthesis. Divinylbenzene has two ethylenes, which can be copolymerized to form three-dimensional insoluble and insoluble polymers. Therefore, it is a very useful crosslinking agent, widely used in ion exchange resins; separation of exchange membranes; ABS resin; polystyrene resin; unsaturated polyester resin; synthetic rubber; wood processing; carbon processing and so on.
